Reading public digests, subscribing to them, saving items, reacting, and following the people who make them all cost nothing. Reading needs no account; interacting needs a free one.

Each plan covers one digest. Choose how often you receive an edition and how often you pay. The same plans are available on web and iOS where checkout is supported.

Subscriptions renew automatically. Cancel renewal from the digest’s Billing page; access continues through the paid period. Annual plans are paid upfront, and canceling renewal does not automatically refund the remaining year.

When Digestiv researches and writes an edition of a digest you own using prepaid credit, it draws the actual cost of that run from your balance: the model and the searches it needed. On top of that we keep five cents. A short edition costs less than a thorough one, and every edition shows what it cost on the page.

A typical edition runs twenty-five to thirty cents all in. Model and search prices change, so billing the real cost of each run keeps what you pay tied to what was actually spent rather than to a rate set months earlier.

Failed runs are never charged. If your balance can't cover the next edition, scheduled runs pause and wait; nothing is deleted, and everything you've already received stays readable.

Every new account gets 2 editions at no cost and with no card. That's enough to read a digest of your own twice before deciding whether it's worth paying for.

For pay as you go, top up $10 or $20 at a time. Ten dollars is roughly thirty-five editions. Credit never expires, and unused purchased credit is refundable on request: email us and we'll send it back.
